Gaiam Sol Studio Dry-Grip Reviewgaiam yoga mat review

Gaiam is a known fitness and yoga¬†brand created by Jirka Rysavy. This company’s name was inspired by the words “Gaia” and “I am”, both related to spirituality and consciouness. They couldn’t choose a better name to translate their mission, since they main focus is to make yoga and wellness accessible to all people. Nowadays, Gaiam has approximately 38,000 retail doors as affect of their success.

It is the best selling Gaiam’s mat

It is not a coincidence that Studio Select Dry-Grip is the most popular yoga mat of Gaiam. This 5mm yoga has enough cushioning for your knees and hands, and still provides a firm surface for standing poses. The large size will give you an extra space to stretch out in your yoga class. Plus, the design is absolutely lovely, and people won’t think twice before giving you compliments.

Genuine non-slip surface

No matter how comfortable it is a yoga mat if you can not stop sliding over the floor. Thickness and grip are two important factors, and none of these factors can be ignored when you choose a yoga mat. While competing yoga mats fails in providing a genuine non-slip surface, Gaiam Sol Studio stands out of others. You won’t have any slipping issues at all.

Great for hot yoga classes

I highly recommend this mat for folks who are taking hot yoga classes, such as heatead Vinyasana and Bikram Yoga. The reason is: this mat absorbs moisture instantly. You can sweat buckets, and still enjoy a firm and grip surface. One day I forgot to bring my yoga mat towel, and I could do my hot class with no problem at all. Give it a chance, and take your hot yoga class to the next level!

By far the best yoga mat I’ve ever bought through the years. Its great on knee and elbows, folds up easily, and beautiful design.
